The rifle compartment in our QRR rifle backpacks is large and fits most modern and traditional rifles with optics. For specific dimensions of the rifle compartment, you can check out more information here: QRR technology. If you are unsure, we recommend visiting one of our dealers to test with your rifle.
Yes, all VORN products have a 5-year warranty. If something breaks, we send free spare parts, no matter the cause.
Squeaks can occur with all types of backpacks made from different materials, including the EV30 and EV45 models. Fortunately, it’s easy to fix. If you have a tea light, you’re already on the right track! The paraffin wax in tea lights has proven to be the best remedy against squeaks. Rub the candle wax on the rods of the frame where the straps are attached, as this is where the squeaks occur. Afterward, the squeak should disappear as quickly as it appeared. You will find a video demonstrating the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB-R9irGFMM
Send an email to post@vorn.no with your name, address, postal code, city, and country, along with information about which backpack you have. If you are unsure, attach a picture showing which model you have, as well as a picture of the broken part. We will send replacement parts free of charge.
To change the position of the release handle on your Fox, Lynx, or Deer rifle backpack, loosen the screw on the underside of the handle. Then move the handle to the desired position and tighten the screw again.
For instructions on how to adjust the back height on EV30 and EV45, please watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HAMbANcIxs Please note that it is not possible to adjust the back height on LT12.
The height of the rifle compartment is easily adjusted using the robust velcro at the bottom of the compartment, where the stock sits. For more information, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA8otkzOhQk&t=12s
To adjust the release handle on your LT12, EV30, or EV45, loosen the two screws on the underside of the handle. Then move the handle to the desired position and tighten the screws again.
It is difficult to compare the old backpacks with the new ones from the LT and EV series, as they are very different products. Only four parts from the old backpacks are found in the LT and EV backpacks. We have developed a new fabric that is even more robust, waterproof, and repels water. The EV backpacks also feature a custom-designed frame to increase carrying comfort. The zippers have been improved, the volume is larger, and the weight is lower.
Several DLS components are compatible with our QRR rifle backpacks, as well as other backpacks on the market. The products tested and working well with the models include the P2 Pouch with two liters of volume, L10 Load Net, GS6 – Gate Strap in a six-pack, and RC – Rifle Cover at 100 cm.
No, unfortunately. The barrel cover is included only with LT12, EV30, and EV45. You can also use the RC – Rifle Cover 100cm from the DLS consept.
Yes, SR10 works just as well for left-handed shooters as for right-handed ones. Left-handed users draw it from the right side to get support under the right elbow, while right-handed users draw it from the left side for support under the left elbow. No modifications are necessary.
We recommend adjusting the height of the rifle compartment to give a better position for the bolt in relation to the frame. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please contact us at post@vorn.no to receive an extension for the rifle compartment, which may help in finding an optimal position.
As a final option, you may try turning the rifle so that the optics are placed outward. Note that this alternative is not ideal, as the optics will not have the same level of protection.
This is not something we recommend. If you experience a conflict between the trigger and shooting position, we recommend moving the trigger one notch up. This is done by loosening the screws on the underside of the trigger, moving it up one notch, and then tightening the screws again.
We use two different fabrics on our products: V-Tex for our QRR Riflesekker and Cordura 500D for DLS products. V-Tex is a three-layer soft and silent twill-polyester fabric that is extremely quiet. Cordura 500D is a coated single-layer nylon material chosen for its lightweight, but it is not as quiet as V-Tex.
The trigger hooks on the EV and LT backpacks are made of fiber-reinforced polymer that can withstand a lot. They have been tested in temperatures as low as -20°C for several days, and a breakage test showed they can withstand up to 50 kg.
If you have reduced mobility and cannot reach the barrel above your head, you have two options: You can grip the pistol grip to release the rifle, or use a rifle sling. For more information about using the QRR system, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5uvhVb_Xbk
You can try adjusting the release handel lower down. Loosen the screws on the underside of the release handel, move it lower, and tighten the screws again. If you still have trouble reaching the release handel, you can attach a rope or similar to the release handle.
Yes, the rifle compartment fits most modern and traditional hunting rifles and shotguns. For the dimensions of the rifle compartment, visit: QRR technology. If you are still unsure, we recommend visiting a dealer.
Using a QRR rifle backpack has several advantages. It protects your rifle from weather and impact damage, frees up your hands to navigate terrain or handle your dog, and allows you to carry the rifle comfortably with the barrel pointing up.
Yes, most thermal scopes fit perfectly in our QRR rifle backpacks. However, some clip-on scopes may not fit. For the dimensions of the rifle compartment, visit QRR technology. If you are still unsure, we recommend visiting a dealer to test with your rifle.
Yes, you can use a bipod attached to your rifle in our QRR rifle backpacks. We have tested with many variants without any problems. You may need to adjust the height of the rifle compartment for optimal placement.
Yes, most rifles with a camera mounted will fit fine in our QRR rifle backpacks. There are many different cameras with countless mounting points, but the variants we have tested fit well. If you are unsure, we recommend testing it at a dealer.
It is not possible to transport meat between the frame and the backpack, but you can carry meat in the backpack or attached to the outside of the pack. EV45 is the best QRR rifle backpack suited for this purpose. If your primary goal is to carry meat, the DLS concept is a very good alternative.
Yes, you can. However, we recommend checking the rules of the airline you are flying with. There are no parts in VORN products that are illegal to carry as hand luggage.
If you want to attach your dog to the backpack, there are two attachment points at the end of the hip belt where you can attach, for example, our Gate Keeper straps, a carabiner, or a rope. This applies to both QRR rifle backpacks, the SR10 hip pack, and the hip attachments on the DLS
