QRR mechanism
Since the launch of QRR in 2012 the orange release handle has been redesigned a few times. The moving parts in the mechanism have however stayed exactly the same through now close to 100.000 backpacks sold. The mechanism is made of bicycle wires that pulls back two spring-loaded release pins. That’s it - and that’s also why it will not fail you.

The QRR frame
The EV45 and EV30 feature the same fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame. The frame extends around the rifle compartments at the top and bottom to efficiently transfer the load from the main compartment to your body. Fiberglass was chosen since its elastic properties make it ideal for creating impact-resistant, and tough parts. Illustration shows both the frame and the QRR mechanism.
